6-8 servings . Bake 20 minutes
2 cups all-purpose flour
2T sugar
1T baking powder
1/2 t salt
1/2 cup cold butter
1 egg, beaten
2/3 cup half and half cream
In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder
and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
In small bowl whisk egg and half and half cream; add all at once
to the crumb mixture and stir just until moistened.
Spread batter into a greased 8 “ round baking pan, slightly
building up around the edges.
Bake at 450 degrees for 16- 18 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove from pan and cool on a wire rack.
In a small bowl, beat cream until it begins to thicken.
Add confectioners’ sugar and vanilla; beat until stiff
peaks form.
Serve with berries
